About these web pages

Juliet Heatley

Juliet studied ceramics at Loughborough University, graduating in 2004.

She currently works from Hangingwater Studio producing non-functional thrown porcelain and stoneware vessels. Her work is simple and delicate. Throwing on the wheel enables her to create a finely pinched rim, giving a fragile and unpredictable quality that is central to her work. Lines are then used to enrich the forms. These may be created by the addition of fine flowing handles, scoring or varying heights of vessels within a group.
